Counoise is a little-known grape historically from the Rhône Valley of France. Typically used as a blending grape with Grenache and Syrah, Counoise is rarely bottled on its own. However, the grape makes an interesting wine that is a "must try" for all true Rhône connoisseurs. Thomas Clay's Counoise is a light-bodied wine with forward fruit. This easy-drinking wine is ideal with appetizers and or for sipping on its own. For a suggestion, why not try this Counoise with a light salad of radicchio topped with fresh tomatoes and shaved parmesan cheese? |
